Stuart Rankin joined the stable from South Africa 8 years ago.

Previously he rode as a jockey for a year, he then moved onto assistant trainer and had seven years experience with the top trainers in South Africa before immigrating and making Australia home.

Stuart is a great asset to the Payne Racing team and well liked and highly respected by all.

Merle has been married to David for the past 45 years and manages all the administration of the business.
